Not to rain on your parade or anything, but trust me, before there were artists with PhotoShop, there were craftsmen with high levels of skill in photo retouching. Just because an image is "old" does not mean it is necessarily real. Do you actually think Playboy had perfect models all the time before PhotoShop???

But look at the bright side, somebody got paid to sit there and paint on the photographic prints all day with such tools as airbrushes...
