First and foremost, it's undoubtedly the airline crew's fault - their responsibility to sweep the whole plane for passengers, even the restrooms; a lot of times, people sleep (she must've been a very deep sleeper ). However, like the others have said, a fair compensation would be a free flight or something. She's an adult, not a little child, no real harm was done. Mistakes happen in life, as long as no real danger is involved, then move on. The court will see this and will not reward her much at all. It's a bitch-move to sue over this, which wastes taxpayers' money. This society is too sue-happy and always looking for an opportunity to sue to make money.

Woman probably hid on the plane to cook this whole thing up.

Easy. Is it forseeable that a passenger will sleep on a flight? Is it possible the passenger might take a sleeping pill to sleep better? Absolutely. The airline is 100% liable, and I bet you they will settle for an undisclosed amount....somewhere in the area of 50K.

My wife just had a case settle for 25K...a person was leaving a bar on a cruiseship (the cruiseship has proof of how much she drank), she was then on her way to her room. She slipped on the CARPET, and carpet burned her knee. There were no witnesses. Cruiseline settled for 25K.

Wake up people, this is America...sue=win. You can sue anyone for anything and win.

OK. the airline was a little negligent. Does that woman deserve $25-50K?
