The money isn't yours. However, I would put it in a SAVINGS account and let it sit. If they come screaming for it, give it to them. If they don't, leave it there for a year, then move on with life.

I would also change your PayPal account so that they can't pull money out of your bank account. That might be a rude awakening to have them force you into overdraft or something. If they contact you, pay them. You've already tried to tell them that they made a mistake - just hold the money until they realize it.

withdraw the 425bucks from your account and runaway!

seriously, just go ahead and act like you paid it and deduct the money from your funds, they will fix the problem

i don't know about paypal, but if bank made the same mistake, they will have collection agency come knocking on your door sooner or later

(not really, but at least they will call you up )

i would keep it, companies like that screw you everyday.

3% turns into 3.5 or 4% because of hidden fee's they never really tell you about.

similar thing happened to me @ washington mutual

i deposited 21,000.00 in cash after i had sold a watch to a guy.

after handing the girl (3) bricks of 50's (5,000 per brick) and (3) bricks of 20's (2000 per brick) she took the wrappers off and then put into the machine, after running it thru told me "you gave me 2200 extra"

i said, no i counted it twice and then put the wrappers back on to carry it easier.. she said no.. you gave me 2200 extra. so me (i always make simple mistakes) figured.. maybe i did miscount so i better get it back incase the guy accidentally gave me too much..

so i got the $, put in wallet.

called buyer, asked him how much he gave me, he said i went straight to bank and got $ and never counted only 21000 came from my acct.

so i put the $ in savings.

2 weeks later WaMu called me, i said that i had spent it. and they said ok sorry to bother you, goodday.

im guessing since i do a lot of business with them theyd rather just say w/e than try and make a big deal

i dont care about ethics, if company A gave me extra $, ima keep it.. because i know DAMN right if i ever gave them extra $ and they didnt catch onto it. i will never see it again

Mic.. go ahead and paypal me the 425 and ill hold onto it for you.
