No. I never leave anything in my paypal account at all. As soon as someone puts money in there I transfer it to my bank account.

They are notorious for freezing accounts and leaving you stuck without your money for months.

I've never had a problem with them but see

No way. Theft is probably too easy despite whatever securities they may have in place. I keep zero there. I actually opt not to use paypal when I can and use a debit card because typing that account in makes me think twice about my purchasing what I may not really need, vs just hitting a "pay" button..

For how long and what purpose? I certainly wouldn't use them as a "bank". If you're transferring it to another entity for a transaction and it has to site there short term maybe, but what possible reason would you have to leave it there for any significant period of time?

If I had bought something for $7,000 on eBay, I would transfer the money and pay right away. I wouldn't leave that much in anything other than a brokerage or bank account.

No way. Not only do I leave no money in my Paypal account, I have it linked to a "dry" bank account so Paypal can't just take money if it deems it necessary. Paypal sucks, but is a necessary evil for online transactions these days.

only transfer it if you want your account froozen and you ike faxing your entire life history to them. and then they will most likely link your account to someone elses and tell you can't get the funds out for at least 3 months....
