Default PC problem for the Gurus!

ok, I don't know how this happened, but whenever right click on something (say, an image or video, or link) on a webpage, the "save as" window that pops up (where you select the directory to save to) has an extra gray area underneath that has ads and buttons for you to click to get more info on the ads, etc. This additional "gray area" also appears when I open windows media player (the older version that's just a player, w/o all the bells and whistles).

anyone?
