I had a treo 600 and a program called Mapolis which had GPS navigator features built in. Unfortunately the treo 600 doesn't have GPS but the Treo 650 and 700 do, the program would work.

as to other pdas, you can use basically anything with bluetooth and windows mobile.. you just need to buy a GPS kit to hook it up, but no monthly service charge. look into which provider you want to go with first, most of them have windows mobile devices

the reason i bought it is because its registration is not tied to the pda/cell device itself. but this software has alot of bugs in it so be ware. maybe the whole industry is experiencing this but form my experience the basic's of the program work well, the company refuses to do the last 9yards to really have a good product.
look at some of the blue tooth gps recievers. they are relly small and work well, i have a Clip-ON brand reciever. in the car you can place the reciever where its gets the best reception because the bt is a wireless technology

I'm waiting to get the P1000.
Which reminds me, I gotta go check out HoFo again. I haven't been there for a while.
