The big crime wave is that people break into the grow houses to steal their weed

 

Seriously, the guy got a slap on the wrist, and the burglar probably got jail time. This guy is growing pot, not breaking into people's houses and taking things that don't belong to him. He probably thinks he deserves protection from that just as much as the next guy. After all, he makes his money growing and selling a product, not stealing it, illegal as it may be. He's not stupid, stupid would be to put up with burglary and harrassment because your product is illegal.

But smarter would be to sell a legal product...

 

Wow, that guy got a really light sentence...

The lesson here is, if you're going to smoke weed in Canada, it's better to grow it yourself than to steal it.

 

In these parts that guy would have been looking at 10 years minimum plus confiscation of every single thing he owned.
