That might have been funny if you hadn't screwed it up by adding that stupid apostrophe in "bra's". Plurals don't have apostrophes; possessives and contractions do. The word's "bras".
bra' is the abbreviation for brassiere. If you really were a punctuation nazi you'd remember that historically words such as photo' were used to abbreviate photograph.

Do you write "bra'", or "photo'"? Of course not. Then you shouldn't write "bra's" as a plural. You got it wrong; be a man and admit it, rather than try to hide behind an etymology that, ultimately, doesn't stand up to scrutiny.

"Bra" is not an abbreviation of "brassiere" (nor was it ever); it's a truncation; it has no apostrophe. "Photo" is not an abbreviation of "photograph" (nor was it ever); it's a truncation; it has no apostrophe. Check any current dictionary.

At least you admit that I'm not a punctuation nazi.

You guys are way to wound up for me. The indicates sarcasm or joking. Maybe if you weren't quite so enamored of yourself you'd realize that I was admitting my mistake by posting something obviously facetious.

If you didn't find any humor in my original post why did you feel the need to attack a typing error?

Back to your very serious off-topic thread...

I've deleted some of my comments due to my respect for my elders.

Unfortunately, not everyone (here or elsewhere) intends the as an indication of facetiousness; hence, it was difficult to ascribe that interpretation to your use of it. My apologies for the misunderstanding.

It's hard to find fault with someone who can employ "enamored" grammatically correctly.

(By the way, it's ". . . too wound up . . . ." )

No, this thread was a piece of crap anyway. I think the grammar parts are more entertaining.
