Default Photogaphy Buffs

Is anyone on this board into capturing life through the lens? I thought we could have a thread about those who enjoy the art of photography and share tips, review work or blab about equipment.

Who is into photography and what type of equipment do you use, what do you shoot, etc?

I'm also currently on the market for a wide angle/fish eye Nikon lens for my dslr, so if anyone has any experience or owns one and could give me some insight as to what has worked for you, it would be much appreciated. I currently have an 18-70, 50 1.8, and 80-200 2.8. It doesn't have to be Nikon, Sigma or Tamron would be ok with me as well.

^^ That's a great camera! I have an old school 35mm Minolta Maxxum. Sporting the D70 right now and it's pretty good for it's price point and my purposes, but I may be looking to upgrade soon.

if you have nikon lenses already it'd be expensive to switch...but the anti shake technology will blow away the competition since it works with all lenses unlike canon and nikons method.

I don't generally have a problem with the shake factor. Most of the photography I do is architecture and landscape with a tripod - but it does look tempting. I'll wait for my own leprechaun..

I've done a lot more traditional b&w 35mm and Panoramic than digital but I enjoy photography. I wish I had my own darkroom so I could print again. Ever since I have graduated college I havn't had a chance to get back in a dark room and print. But I'm looking at upgrading digital camera's since I only have a Nikon 5700 digital. I want the Canon 20D. My other stable consists of a Holga 120mm plastic camera.. Horizon Panoramic, Nikon FM10 35mm and Manfrotto tripod and pistol grip head.

The Nikon D70 is a great camera but overall I rather save a little more for a Canon 20D. The D70 doesn't even have ISO 100, and plus the price is just a bit low of the 20D.

I think that the D70 is a good starting body for someone moving from 35mm to digital. It has a clean interface and it

I took these on my Canon Powershot G3.

And I intend to get a digital SLR some day.
