I have the omni bounce and it doesn't really improve flash per se.. it's more of a diffuser so it makes light scatter a bit.

The LumiQuest pocket bouncer is better IMO.

BTW - can you take good pics with your flash set to 90 degrees (i.e. straight up) using the Omni? That's how I saw it used.

You can only use it that way if you are shooting in a room with a white ceiling that is fairly low so that the light reflects off of it and casts a nice light on the subject. Remember that a diffuser reduces the amount of light and thus the distance you can shoot the subject... bouncing it off of something reduces it even more so set your exposure accordingly.

adjust with faster lens/aperture, slower shutter or faster film.
