Not to get too political, but what is a soldier's mindset over there about Bush? Do you guys think you should be over there? Do you feel like you're making a difference, or is the Iraqi people close minded, or do they welcome you with open arms?

Congrats on your Purple Heart!

As others have already mentioned, thank you! We want you all back safe and sound! Take care of the younger ones, and hit us up for a round when you get back.

It is hard to explain unless you are actually there in Iraq. It is true that people of Iraq have been under Saddam for a long time and Saddam could of actually made the country great, but instead he used the country for his own benefit.

I will give you one example.
City of Mosul is full of trash and if you walk into the roads, there is trash every where.
infront of people 's door, back yard, you name it there is trash. US forces set it up so that we provided trash cans in just about every where you go.
All you have to do is...from your house walk 30 feets and dump your trash in the trash can. Instead they 99% of them, just throw it infront of their door.
Also they have this water runs through this little drain duct.. i guess you can call it, help get the water out of their street and they clug it up!!!!!

how lazy is that. US forces are not there to pick up trash for Iraqi people and that is got NOTHING to do with freedom or dont know better life.

i would take one home if i could. hahhaa. i think army gets M4 for around maybe 10~30 bucks range since they buy so many of them. it could be little higher though.

in the market...hummm i think it would cost around 1k -2k without any modications on it. M68~~my sight cost over 1k itself. Tac light is about 300, so you can imagine how much it would cost. i say about 5k after everything is set.
