Nice sink/granite/faucet combo. I am in the middle of remodeling my kitchen. Started installing my Ikea cabinets and I will have to shop for a countertop soon. Still debating on whether to use granite or corian or silestone. How much a square foot did you pay for that granite? Does it include labor/installation/delivery? Also how wide is that sink? My sink cabinet is 30 inch wide I don't think I can accomodate a double sink, will most likely go with the biggest single sink that will fit.

I guess I was hoping to see a new sink in a new Cayenne.

Go with either Granite or Silestone. They are both better than corian and the price difference is minimal, as a matter of fact some granites are cheaper than the price of corian installed. I am a Kitchen and Bath Remodelor, and most of my kitchens have been Granite installations. Just looks better than plastic...just my opinion.

When I did our kitchen I installed a single 24" Kohler Cast Iron sink in Cobalt Blue. There are some available up to 36" but you will need at least two very strong people to install it.

I went cheap with prefab granite sections, $20 a square foot. The sink is 30". Figure another 20-25 sq/ft for installation, and a bit more if you want nice back splashes or radius cuts etc. If you live in an area like Denver and don't mind paying cash you can save a good chunk of cash by hiring some less than legal labor.

I was amazed at how much sinks go for retail -- 500+ for a stamped piece of metal. 6-900 dollar faucets were an eye opener as well.

This is what my wife gets for leaving me alone at home for two months.

I wish my wife would do the same. Every night she hounds me about the kitchen and wants to hire a contractor to finish the job.
