Steve, you're an odd person. But congrats on the new sink! May it serve you well for years to come.

Yeah GFI would be smart, but was not required when we restored the place. 120 year old buildings have some spookey stuff behind the walls when you gut them.

You know we're all in trouble when the "new sink pics thread" gets more replys then the "hot ex girlfriends" thread only 2 lines above.

I don't know man. Thats a 14 year old design that desperately needs to be updated. New models have left that in the dust. Sure, the 15psi of water pressure that that sink puts out was good for its time, but now adays most "high performance" sinks put out over 20psi for 75% of the cost. Plus it may be made of all aluminum, but there are sinks out there that are lighter or just as light even though they don't need to resort to costly materials.

Yeah knob and tube wiring is fun stuff, did you find old newspapers as insulation in some of the walls? I've done some kitchens and baths from the early part of 1900's. On one house the entire outside wall of the kitchen didn't have a single stud that wasn't pieced together, I had to sister new 2X4's across the whole wall. Luckily it was single story and not a balloon framed two story. Had to replace all the wiring and put in a new panel box, the kitchen would have burned out the old 60A service, which already was showing some burns on one leg.

I don't think that 20 psi is high pressure, my well pump operates at 40-60 psi and the water runs pretty slow, when I go into Ann Arbor water pressure is at least 75 psi.
