Default Pictures of the Grand Canyon & surrounding area

My wife went down to Phoenix for business and she asked if I could tag along to keep her company. Needless to say, I had no complaints. Made the 3hr journey up north to the Grand Canyons and was just overwelmed with emotions that a place this beautiful still existed. To think some of you will never see this place is a shame. Therefore I did my best to capture half of what I saw and share this with all of you. My camera did not do this place justice at all, you would have to be there to know what I'm talking about.

ENJOY!

1.
Montezuma Castle - 5 stories, 20 rooms castle that housed the Sinagua Tribe 600 years ago.

2.
Close up shot of the maint entrance.

3.
The road through Sedona. Beautiful red rock scenery, ranked 10 of the most beautiful places in the US.

4.

5.

6.

7.
A river that ran down the mountain to Sedona. It was 45 degrees up there with snow pretty much everwhere.

8.
The Grand Canyon itself. You will never understand how big this place is unless you see it with your own eyes. There is no words to discribe it.

9.
I nearly shit in my pants while standing on this rock. You are not suppose to go to places where there's not fences, but I was never one to listen much. The "high" is amazing when you know that one wrong move and you will fall 5,000ft to your death. You might as well smile and enjoy it.

12.
Notice the twist to the left of the branches? I couldnt find a better one. Juniper trees respond to the vortex energy in a physical way that reveals where this energy is strongest. The stronger the energy, the more of an axial twist the Juniper trees have in their branches.

13.
And finally.....sunset at the Grand Canyons, 7500ft above sea level. Freakin 30 degree's too. LOL

Below are just a few things I shot while driving around the Phoenix area.

When the word, "breathtaking" is used...this is exactly what they are talking about. Absolutely gorgeous! Very sharp photos.

I've never been to the Grand Canyon...the years I owned my Honda ELEMENT, I always thought it would be the vehicle that would motivate me to make a cross country trip/adventure, camping in my E along the way...but it was not to be.

Again, awesome photos...thanks for sharing them here with us.

My wife and I made pretty much the same trip in Dec. in a 08 Vette Vert. It was cold and snowing but the top was down at the canyon. I wish my shots were as good as yours. Wonderful, thanks!

Thanks for all the comments.

Airgate, glad someone can enjoy them. If you ever have the time, take some time and just drive to places you've always wanted to go. We cant work all the time, there has to be more to life then that.

Gymkata, are you an Arizona resident? Where abouts?

Berlina, you have to go yourself! These pictures did not do it justice. I've been messing around with camera for about 2yrs now. I'm just seriously getting into it this year and taking it seriously to see where it goes. Thanks for the kind words, they mean a lot to me.

CG how was the weather when you were there? I kinda gambled on my trip there and it paid off. Plenty of clouds as you can see.

Some of the best pictures I've seen on this site

I've been to both the Grand Canyon and Sedona...whoever hasn't been there should definitely go. It's absolutely breathtaking.
