With a kid due any day I figured it was a good excuse to get a new camera. I've always wanted a digital SLR -- and the Canon Digital Rebel is a good compromise / bargain.



My wife who came with me fell in love with a newer version of the old Canon S100 we have -- so she purchased the S410.



I like both -- much nicer than my old S100. If anyone has any tips regarding the Digital Rebel, please pass them along.

 

get a 600 dollar lens for the rebel. picture quality depends on the lens

Definitely post a review of the Rebel. I'm trying to convince my sister to buy one right now. I've only heard good things so far. I have the Canon S400 and love it. I think the S410 should be even better.

Sweet! To be honest I ordered myself the Canon Digital Rebel also! I will be receiving it some time this week. I will definitely take pics and post some up for you guys to see.
