Default This PISSES ME OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have a friend that wants to get the S2000.

Not for the heritage and history behind it. Not for the technological advancements that the engine has made. Not the landmarks that the car has set. How this little car from Honda raised the bar for every car manufacturer out there. Not for the community in which it stands a proud symbol of. Not for the handling, performance and raw enjoyment of riipping the engine through the RPM's and hitting VTEC.

My friend knows nothing of the car. My friend knows nothing about how to drive. My friend knows nothing about Honda.

He just wants a car to cruise in that will pick up chicks.

I'm enfuriated..seeing that a car as special as the S2000 will go to someone that knows nothing about it. Someone that doesn't know how to change the oil, less drive a stick.

*sigh* Makes me sad. What a waste.

Sure sure...let him do what he wants....But I can not stand aside and watch this debacle.

Bryan

hope he will learn everthing about S2000 when he get it...otherwise is a waste.

if he is really like that, I will think SLK is a better car for him. (why buy a S2000 when you don't know how to drive stick shift yet...)

anyways, maybe you should let him know about s2ki.com.

It's a great car isn't it? Have a little faith that it will convert him. We all had to start somewhere didn't we. When I was 16 years old and a guy handed me the keys to his Jag XKE to go drive and play with I had no idea that it would lead me down this path. 29 years later I'm still driving sportscars.

I feel your pain, Mr. Kim. I hate people like that (vanity! ). What I don't understand is why he doesn't get some other flashy car (like a BMW or Lexus) to pick up chicks? Why the S2000? If your friend has to use a car to pick up chicks, he's doing something very wrong (I supposed he's making up for a personality deficiency). He's only going to look more like a gimp when the girl asks him about the car and he can't answer her questions. Maybe it'll make him learn about the car. Knowing our luck, he'll probably spread misinformation - 'yeah, it's the new miata. it's got a 290hp v-6 in it.' -DOH!

Wait a sec!! I really WANT an S2000 as well. Not to pick up chicks or anything, but because I think that it is a beautiful car and I love how it drives, or at least did for the 20min test drive I took. Now I also don't know a whole lot about cars, although I am learning a lot here. If I want an S2000, and I WANT to learn about it, does that make me as bad as the other guy for wanting it before I know the stuff like how to change the oil on it?

"he's taking his dad in to co-sign" !!!!!!???????
Don't know who to feel more sorry for - the kid or the dad. Probably another one of those who'll spin out and take the girl with him.
