Isn't this also a repost?

Can we please just ignore mj for the rest of time? He never was a musician, he now is demonstrating that he is totally unfit for public consumption, so please, no-one thinks this is cute, or even a fun game. If you see a mj-related something, keep it to yourself, please. Let him die.
Thanks.

List all the instruments he plays on his albums, as well as what he plays live.

He never was a musician

Haha 99GT, I had respect for ya' until this... j/k

Although what you just said is kinda like saying The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Madonna, Elton John, aren't musicians either...

Sometimes I don't get you 99GT...

He sings and dances (and damn good at both, I might add), doesn't he?

List all the instruments Kathleen Battle plays. I don't think you could call her "not a musician."

It's fine if you don't like MJ, I don't like him either... but not a musician?

The Beatles, Rolling Stones, and Elton John all play instruments for a living, hence they are musicians. Michael Jackson sang what others asked him to sing, and other people play all the instruments on his albums. He is simply a voice that is mixed and mastered to sound good over the talent. I would be very surprised if he was allowed to pen music that is actually on any album. He is a brand, and when his handlers got him, he was very young and easy to manipulate. Today, he is nothing but a rich, disfigured man, who grew up with so much money around I have a hard time believing he could relate to his fans in any realistic way. It is sad, but nothing he has done in the last ten years has had any relevance to the outside world. His biggest fans have always been too young to vote, sign a contract, drive a car, or make judgements about what music is good, and what is simply pop, manufactured to get money from kids.

Madonna is an artist that participates in the world around her, and while her "instrument" is her voice, I have no problems saying mj doesn't hold a candle to her. They each had hits in the eighties, she had way more in the 90's than mj, and she still looks good, which is one area you have to agree he loses Not to mention, her music is actually good, and addresses something more than a one-dimensional attitude.

Why do people think mj is such a great musician? I don't hear anyone humming any of his songs, ever. His big draw was his age, at first, then it was because everyone remembered when he was young and cute, but now?

OK, you just earned back that respect.

When you say it like that, I can't disagree.
