READ ALL FIRST PLEASE
I am currently trying (with a friend) to generate some invites to Gmail, I (and he, and most others) do not know how it generates invites yet. But I do have an address that we want you to send mail to (one message each please, we dont want it spammed up)
The plan is you send 1 email from any account and I or he, will send a reply (to get both "sent" and "recieved" message counts up)
Then do nothing.
If it starts to generate invites we will send them out to this forum accordingly, if you send more than one message you will not get an invite so dont do it.
If you have Gmail dont send mail to the address (working on the honor system here).
Do not tell your firends or family (if this gets out of control he and I will just stop using the account, or will just hand out the invites to who ever we want, the honor system is going to work both ways).
To keep this from happening we will not honor S2KI usernames created after today.
Both he and I lose nothing in this venture, so we are willing to do it until the regular Gmail system opens up to the public.
I will not play favorites so please dont PM me with requests. I may start to just hand invites out randomly from my personal Gmail invites (if and when I get them) so be patient and curtious.
HOW TO DO IT:
1. Send Email with your S2KI user name as the subject to whowantsaninvite@gmail.com
2. I or he will send a reply.
3. Wait (but it may not work, we think it will, so in the meantime just sit back and wait for Wantone to post some funny shit).
4. Wait some more, and try and find one somewhere else... (try www.gmailswap.com it is pretty good about working out for people).
5. If this works, I will come into S2KI and PM you, ask if you still want it, and if so hand you an invite (thats why we need your S2KI name).

I have an account and couldn't get the names that I wanted like 'name@gmail.com'.
It's just like any other web based e-mail except of course the 1 GB of storage. Good for storing information online I suppose.
You can generate invites just by receiving e-mails?

i've had my account for about a week now, and i have just gotten 6 invitations - and they all have been spoken for. i've got the name i wanted for a business account (on ebay, of course) 
, and i love it! as for now, no spams!!!................yet! if i get more invitations, i'll hook yall up.

PLEASE JUST send your S2KI username as the title, and thanks for the encouragement in the subjects, but this could get to where I wont bother reading them. (sorry)
Also like the sig says in the response, the reply message is your number in the request line. so right now #3 is next in line (1 and 2 got theirs).
Hopefully this will work out great.
