please pray for my mom
my mom has had cancer for 3 years. she's still living with it and any second that it flares up... it might just be the end of it. but there are so many treatments out there that will help. let me know if you want to chat about it. i've followed many of my mom's treatments along with her friends. plus i know a lot of people at University of San Francisco that can help if she's willing to travel. I know plenty about radiation and options for surgery. Just PM me. we'll chat.
Gladly Dark.
And for strength for you and the rest of the family as well.
And Dark....from experience......praying with her, with your pastor or minister and family members can be a tremendous source of strength and positve also.

Don't let someone tell you how bad it is. Listen to the facts and follow the advice... but don't let someone tell you what's going to happen if they don't tell you how to fix it.
Nobody can predict exactly what will happen. Don't let them take your hope away.
On the flipside, keep your eyes and ears open. Above all else, if you are called on to make decisions for / with her...think of what SHE would want... not about your fear or what YOU want. I want my parents to live forever. But I won't push that goal if it causes them suffering or pain.

my dad recently died from cancer..it was bad, diagnsoed late, and spread to his bones...
we didnt think my dad would die as soon as he did despite his condition...i went over to his house to see him one night and he was on the couch laying down...semi comatose...he couldn't really talk much and was in allot of pain...i told him i loved him and hugged him...im glad i went over that night because i almost didnt...that was the last time i saw him out of the hospital...he was in and out for 6 weeks...i cried several times because of the type of person he was (always working on something, doing something, or whatvever)...fortunately or unfortunately he was unconscious for most of that time...in those rare times he was conscious, it was almost more difficult..he disdained being there and would insist we get the car and get him out (somewhat lucid was his state from the drugs)
spend as much time as you can with your mom...i dont know how old you are or if you have had experience with this before...sometimes all i can think about are those times when my dad said..hey come over and watch the race...or something to that effect...sometimes i did..sometimes i didnt...
