Default Pocketbikes on Deal's Gap - Funny Video!

This video is a must see...these guys are flying considering the size of their bikes. It's hilarious when one of them crashes into the ditch, carries the bike back to the road, and keeps on going!

That video is great, I love the ditch part, the guy hardly missed a step. How fast do those things go anyway?

I think the pocketbikes go about 50, but it must feel faster that close to the ground. It looks like the camera bike may have been that R1 in the beginning...2.8 sec. 0-60 and ~10.3 sec. 1/4 mile (limited by the challenge of keeping the front wheel on the ground). I owned one until March and it was an amazingly wild ride - just a bit overkill for the street IMO.

I actually traded an R6 for my R1 w/ the intention of slowing down on the street. Yeah, I know that the R1 is faster, but it's broader powerband made it easier to mellow out a bit as well. It also encouraged monster wheelies, which contradicted my goals of maintaining a clean and safe driving record. The R6 was incredible, and probably the coolest, most confidence inspiring track bike I've ever experienced, at least until I got a ride on a friend's Honda NSR250 recently (not really street legal here, it's a 2 stroke, dry clutch-equipped near-GP bike w/ lights!)
