Default Political Compass

For those of you who might be interested, here is a British questionnaire which shows you where you are on the "Political Compass".

Feel free to post your scores and opinions.

Johnny

this is obviously doing the rounds around Oz at the moment! I got it last week. I was a bit shocked at my scores.

I was negative 6.2 which almost made me extreme left wing (!) and I was pretty neutral on the other aspect

Bernie,

It was posted on the Sydney Morning Herald website. Almost everyone I know (almost entirely Australians) have been left of centre and libertarian. There is obviously no objective neutral point but I would guess that us Aussies are probably a bit more left wing and libertarian than some other societies and even some of the people I have jokingly called Fascists have come up under this questionnaire as moderate libertarians and lefties.

I am interested to see what the mostly US community of this site come through as. I know that cthree has a ban on political stuff on his site but I have seen a bunch of political stuff (see threads on Taiwan/China) here before and so long as it remains civil, I hope we'll be ok.

Little left, little libertarian - just like every other political test I've ever taken.

Right (3.88) and Libertarian (-3.77)

It was pretty much right on with my self assessment. Especially liked this description:
The usual understanding of anarchism as a left wing ideology does not take into account the neo-liberal "anarchism" championed by the likes of Ayn Rand , Milton Friedman and America's Libertarian Party, which couples law of the jungle right-wing economics with liberal positions on most social issues.

Cool test.
