pollution
even though the S is highly fuel efficient relative to other sports cars, do you every feel guilty for using a machine that contributes to global devastation? do you ever feel like you want to stop polluting the atmosphere altogether?
or is it not our problem, but rather future generations'?

No. But after being dragged to see "An Inconvienient Truth" I kinda did.
But this is what I tell people about feeling guilty: If you knew the absolute truth, or even plain truths like about 30,000 kids dying everyday from chronic lack of nutrition. Do you become paralyzed with guilt? I kinda do for a moment then move on or I try to rectify the situation or at the very least think about why I feel the way I do.
After those off topic remarks, I'd say that I try in all other facets of my life to live simply. The S is not a simple car. Do I feel guilty everyday that I drive it? No. But it is a reminder of bigger problems, not only pollution but, our dependence on foreign oil.

I think that saying that that S is "highly fuel efficient compared to other sports cars" is only trying to quiet your own conscience.
Its like saying ... "wow.. that guys jumps pretty high, compared to the rest of the one-legged polio sufferers"

Now that you made this post I am going to change my oil, drane my radiator fluid, and take out my battery and dump them into the first pond I find (hopefully filled with baby ducks). Then I am going to staples and buy $100 worth of paper (not recycled) and set it on fire (along with some tires). Then I'm going to go to the hospital and punch a new born in the face!
