Default Possible HIV infection?

I have always wondered about this but not asked any medical expert.

If a mosquito bit an HIV-infected person, what would happen to it? Would it die right away or live for a while longer? What if it bit a healthy person after having bit an HIV-infected person? What's the scenario there? Thanks!

Answers in order:

Nothing abnormal.

It would live as normal.

Nothing.

It is a normal mosquito bite.

If mosquitoes were a vector for HIV we would be in some

, luckily mosquitoes are digesting the blood they consume and do not become infected.

No. Malaria is caused by a certain type of parasite that not only survives but also reproduces in the mosquito. HIV is a virus & doesn't do so well outside the human body. Once in the mosquito, the HIV would die very quickly. The mosquito never becomes HIV-infected, and nobody has ever become HIV-infected from a mosquito bite.

Soneday it may happen. Viruses mutate at incredible rates. Let's hope it doesn't, but it is a possibility.

Mosquitoes can transmit any disease that can be transmitted through fluids.
