Are there times when you feel like giving it all away and becoming something really simple... like a potato farmer?

That's exactly what I've done, except for the potato farming part. I retired and have become a Sheltie wrangler. The pay is lousy, but the hours are great. At present my "herd" consists of one 10lb. animal, and she's a a handful.

At times would like to be responsible for the deep fry at "Chez Macs" but reality would go brain dead in 15 min. and would want the challange of work again.

HEY! here in Boise ID, they don't grow potatoes...and it's just as congested as it is in California...

Out in the "burbs" they grow Corn, Buger Sheets (sugar beets ), and Alfalfa....Haven't seen potatoes for a while

I'd retire tomorrow if I could somehow work out where I was going to get the $A50,000 (before tax) per annum I need to pay for my children's secondary school fees. That's the only thing that keeps me working (for the next 6 years at least) .
