Default Pour water on our laptop?

Check it out! Apparently Tyco invented some kind of liquid that looks like water but won't short circuit electronics! It's supposed to be used to extinguish fire.

Yeah, it's called distilled water.

Seriously though, even a half full glass of tap water can write off a laptop pretty quick. At the last company I worked for, our IT department had to make a few "questionable" warranty claims with IBM after a couple of rambunctious site trips.

I saw this on TV the other morning. They immersed a laptop, a book, then a monitor in a tank of this stuff- didn't hurt a thing.

As Chrissa stated -- "this stuff" is nothing more than distilled (or deionized) water.
