The injections that are mainly used are atropine! Once you are administered one you ain't moving anyway! Biological Nerve Agents, Chemical Agents are deadly. Some of the first used were in WWI (Mustard Gas). Sarin must be disbursed in liquid form. Now there are Nerve Agents that are only detected by a type of litmus test or air sample. Awinskill, your right mate, germ warfare is a whole other story. This is really nasty stuff. If you don't have a specific antidote your going to die an agonizing, horrible death. I though I forgot all this when I retired! Awinskill you may as well stick your head up your mates arse with this stuff, for all the good it would do you. Are you going to tell them about the gruesome stuff or do you want me to?

Jeff

PS. You forgot to tell them about the Blood Agents.

I should stress that I wasn't disregarding Sunchild's concern or being flippant from afar BTW. It's a valid concern but what the hell can you do but just get on with it?

If anyone's going to nuke me I'd like them to at least have the decency to call a couple of days beforehand so I can take up smoking again.

While bio-terrorism is certainly a viable threat, I'm much more worried about the solitary bomber walking in or near a prominent target with a backpack containing a multi-kiloton nuclear weapon.

I understand such bowlingball-sized weapons exist, having been developed by both us and the Soviets for use in MIRVS (multiple, individually-targeted re-entry vehicles). All it takes is money (bin Laden), and a disgruntled, underappreciated group of Russian scientists or a renegade military group to turn this nightmare into a reality too horrible to contemplate. Can you imagine how many city blocks of Manhattan would have been leveled if such a device had been detonated near the WTC?
