Just wondering how many programmers we have on this board. I noticed we get a few Java questions every now and then. I've been programming in perl, C++, and PL/SQL for about 5 years now. Done web development for about 6 years. Just thought it'd be nice to know who else is in the field.

C/C++/MPC/Objective C, Ada, Pascal, along with some Perl and shell scripting (only when I need them).
I used to know Java and Sisal though I haven't touched those since my undergrad days. SQL and PHP only in my "Hacking" class at the University.

I did C++ (or the microsoft visual basic equivalent) for a semester, but couldn't stand it so I quit , it's very intereting though, lots of neat tricks even at a novice level..

I'm been a pointy-headed geek for close to three years...mostly C/C++, a little Pascal here and there, and currently messing around with C#. I'm not very good with COM, and hope .NET is easier on my brain.

10+ years in software and hardware. c++, pascal, delphi, java, pl/sql, vb, oracle developer, pro/c and some others here and there that weren't that useful. now mostly in web developments. gotta love those new technologies. can't even keep up with them anymore.
mostly into j2ee architecture programming now days. trying to keep my eyes on .net also.

cool....nice to meet you guys.
my2k2s2000, how you liking j2ee? We run Oracle at my company and I've been sent to a couple of Technology Days to check that stuff out. I installed Application server and Portal but had problems with them working well. I like the idea the more I hear it, but am not that convinced with the startdization of XML yet or the implementation Oracle has come up with to do Web Services. Do you mind giving a little summary of how you use it and your opinions.
