I see that many of the prospective buyers of the RSX are not as enthusiastic about the RSX anymore.

Interesting.

Not many people making sense in that thread (a couple names from here I recognize were though).

Clearly, no one posting about the MB has been to a Mercedes dealership recently to look at the C-class. I considered buying one as a commuter/touring car. The advertised pricing of around $30k was attractive. Of course, when I got there, I found that the lowest price example on the lot was $37k and they went as high as $43k. Gotta love a company that charges you extra for paint (not even metallic).

Then there is the driving experience. Mercedes makes some great cars, but I can't ever recall having fun driving one. Even doing a big smoky burnout in a S420 or hammering a CLK430 convertible didn't do anything for me. And the supercharged 4 they're putting in the coupe is a horrid engine, wheezy and harsh, and not all that effective (unlike MBs V6s).

According to Road & Crack, the Type R version won't be coming to the U.S.A. shores. I don't know if this is true or not but I believe that the Type R model is what most people are aspiring for.

Why aren't they?
C230 isn't better looking or better equiped.
Besides, if I'm buying a winter beater, why would I consider a RWD?
As they mentioned, C230 will end up being around 30k.

The base price of the 2002 C230 sport coupe is $25,595, including $645 for delivery. But once you start adding options, !

they may say the base price is 25k but like spa2k said....options...the dealer will get you...the low base price will bring you to the door....but once your there....i think a lot of people will balk b/c of the out the door price .....they will probably be more like 30k when all said and done...
