Purchased the PS2 Hard Drive with FF11
Just went to best buy today and picked up the ps2 hard drive with final fantasy 11. Ugh, now ive spent almost 500 bucks on ps2 hardware. Too much money on games.
Hopefully it will be worth the money.

Hah! You think you've spent too much - I just picked up one of these today for a cool $300!

So you going to tell us if it is worth it. I switched to XBOX but still have over 500 in games for the PS2 and 200 for the BOX. FF11 looks good but is it. Mind doing a review for some of us?
Leveling is incredibly slow and skills take some learning to chain. Nice FF feel to it, The key to leveling I've found is to jump into various JP groups. Those guys really know what they're doing. The translator function in the game is pretty good once you get the hang of it. What they need is more severwide wuests and the like and probably more actual role playing. pm me if any of you have any specific questions.
I've heard the HD is cool. Works with other games written for it like SOCOM 2.
I still think it's rediculous that you have to buy one for the PS2, but not the XBOX. I only keep the PS2 around for GT4.

That's why if you buy games on at a time, beat them, and then buy another game, you never run into that problem.. I notice when I buy multiple games at a time, I never play some of them.
FFXI was a great game, but I didn't have enough time to play it so I quit. I did end up investing many hours into it. The game is intended to be played with other people, meaning you have to party with people to level, that is why it is an online game. During low levels, you can level up by yourself depending on your class, but it is imperative that you party with others later on. It is the most complex game I've ever played. There is so much to do.
