I invested 720 hours into FFXI. I reached level 50 with my Samurai, and had very good equipment as well as many quests and rank 5 already. I basically felt like I hadn't accomplished anything, and playing more of the game would be worthless. It just doesn't give a very rewarding feeling in my opinion. After you reach the first set of Artifact Armor, there's a second at some absurd level. Basically you waste time, and money trying to make your character have better stats. That's lame.
