Quantum Mechanics and Consciousness

I have a friend who's interested in current research on the connection - if any - between quantum mechanics and consciousness.

Does anyone here know of any information in this area?

I was just reading I think the latest edition of Scientific American. I think they have an article about this.

Have you tried Googling?

I have. One gets reviews of Roger Penrose's books, but nothing more recent.

Check out the Aug 2003 and Jan 2004 issues of Scientific American.

Also, there is a general "science of the mind" article in the September 12, 20005 issue The Scientist. There's nothing about quantum mechanics in there, its more about the biology of the mind and conciousness. Your friend might find the connection between the body and the mind to be an interesting topic too.
