Default question about my PERMIT

If I get my permit at where I live, then move to another state...do I have to take the test again or can I keep using my original permit?

If you are talking about your drivers license, it's good in any state. If you move to another state, it would be a good idea to get a license in that state.

If you are taking about a learner's permit as opposed to a driver's license. I'm pretty sure you have to reapply if you haven't gotten your full license yet.

I am moving to socal. Do they have that dumb rule that I have here that I have to live in that state 30 DAYS????

Also, when I'm 16 and I want to go from permit to Class C license rather than Class D license, is it possible to not have Class D required?

With Class D, I have time limits on when I can drive. So I can't go out at midnight and drive to a restuarant or get something to eat. If I get Class C, which has no time restrictions, does that mean I can also walk outside at midnight. I'm confused about these curfew restrictions because it's different in some places.

Sorry if you come into the state of california with only a permit they will restrict you. No going out after 10:00 no driving with anybody under 25 in the car. You might even have to retake the whole permit test. Why, because socal has a much more difficult behind the wheel driving test to follow.

But if you have your licence, they might just give you a standard licence. The big question is whether the cops will be able to understand that you have a unrestricted licence becasue it does not state it anywhere on you paperwork.

Mine is about to expire but I don't know if I have to go back to the state I got my license from or just get cali one.... note,, I'm not going to live in cali after 2 years or so,, that's y I'm asking this question rather then just getting cali license.. thanks

I think you can get a cali license and not have to take the test again......if it's a license, not a permit

IS ANYODY GOING TO ANSWER MY QUESTION?- Do I have to live in socal at least 30 days before I can take the permit test?

also, can I go from PERMIT to Class C license and SKIP Class D?
