yeah but 40 years ago things were much much cheaper jk scot i have no idea how old you are...but i would hate to see my paycheck if i was still living in NY...i think i save like $500 or so a month without the state income tax...but not exactly sure how it works...

You think it sucks now, wait until you start being unable to deduct mortgage interest or other Schedule A deductions. Or lose Roth IRAs eligibility, or have an artificial caps put on your 401(k) contributions. Been nailed by AMT yet?

<rant>It is ridiculous how many ways I get nailed by the Feds and California. I'm sick of the atttude that "rich people" get all the breaks. Hell, I get far less breaks than most taxpayers and I certainly don't feel "rich". Especially in super expensive SoCal.</rant>
