can you claim damages after you pick up your car from a towing yard? i looked over the car before i left the yard and didn't notice anything since it was dark out. however, i noticed a scrape on my front lip and a dent in my muffler. what are my options now? btw my 94 accord was towed, not my s2000 (thankfully).

 

Depends....if you were towed for illegal parking

*street parking violation, towed by city
*blocked a driveway....

etc

Then no. They are not responsible as it was your fault.

However, if you hired them (car trouble of what not), then yes, they are liable.
