Default Question for the married folks

Can you guys chime in? Im basically looking for somewhere tropical and not infested with tourists. I've been to oahu like a million times so that is out of the question.

I was really considering Bora Bora, but looks like that could get expensive really quick. We only have about 10-12k allotted for a 2 week honeymoon.

Bora Bora is perfect, it reminded me of that movie, "The Beach", with Leo Dicaprio. Its mostly couples on their honeymoons who just want to be left alone to relax and fuk. you can definately swing it for 10-12K, have fun.

fuking is what you do on your honeymoon, and alot of it....
- yea, st regis is pricey, but you can still get rooms or bungalow for 400 a night at other places...I need to look at the paperwork to remember the name of the place we stayed at. Also, you might want to consider all-inclusive resorts as well, it is much less of a hassle and my wife is addicted to the all-inclusive vacations (resorts, cruises, etc).

I (though not married) have been VERY bored at work recently and have been looking at Bora Bora/Tahiti/Fiji honeymoon/all inclusive vacation packages.

A quick google search will point you in the right direction, I've seen fairly decent packages ranging from 2-5k, so right in line with your budget.

Have you considered parts of Mexico like Cozumel, Playa del Carmen, Cabo San Lucas Puerto Vallarta?

I believe my sister and her husband went on their honeymoon in Playa del Carmen and really enjoyed it.

You probably won't get your money's worth at Bora Bora until you've been married a year or 2.

You will be just as happy in a $2 motel for as much time as you 'll spend roaming the beaches, eating, etc.
