The 35M is the interrogator and depending on which unit you go to depends on the amount of action you would see. BN level you could go out with the Infantry, if you stay around the BDE you'll conduct interrogations and things like that. 35M now require a top secret clearance, so you go back 10yrs. A 37F is Pshycological Operations. You'll do special things with special people, primarily out of FT Bragg. I believe they also require a TS.

If you want to do intel go AF. Quality of life is way better from what I hear. I'm living a dream over in Germany with my S and never work more than three days in a row. I monitor UAV feeds and exploit off the U2 and Global Hawk. I've got a really nice clearance worth some big money when I get out too. My only regret is not enlisting sooner. I'm a 27y/o E3 old fart. I was older than a lot of the TI's in boot camp

sorry to go off topic but what makes a Marine soldier better than Army? I'm not in the army so just wondering. different training? ranking? like if my brother were a weapons specialist in the Army special forces, what exactly would that mean in Marines terms?

If your brother is in SF he's a certified badass. But there are higher ranking badasses i.e. Seals, Force Recon. Either way, your brother knows probably about 10 ways to kill someone in under 10 seconds.

And no they might seem really similar to the outside, but the training varies in areas quite a bit, especially on a mental level.

That would mean he might hack it in a basic marine infantry unit....might...

It goes the other way too. I am an instructor in my position on the AWACS. MANY of my students were much older than me. I'm a 24 year old E-5 and I instruct anywhere from the 27 year old E-3s to much older E-7s to E-8s. It's weird sometimes because we are seen as a "leadership" position to the students...

SEALs, Special Forces, and Force Reconnaissance are no "more elite" or "better" than each other... They all specialize in totally different things, so its impossible to compare and say which is "better" overall.

You don't see SEALs or Force Recon going in a completely foreign country all alone with the job of convincing locals (such as the Northern Alliance) to fight with you. Thats the job of the Army Special Forces...

The SEALs and Force Recon weren't chosen to hunt down UBL in the mountains of Tora Bora, 1st SFOD-Delta (Special Forces) was selected for that mission... They all have different roles, purposes, and specialties, (ie, if you need someone to secretly blow out the hull of a ship, SEALs would obviously be chosen).

Only Call of Duty nerds go around arguing about what Special Operations group/unit is the best.
