Question for our English members
A git is 'a silly or contemptable person'
Many people in England use it as a non offensive way to knock their friends.
It actually comes from the term 'old get'. An old get was a grumpy old man who nobody really liked.
My mates call me a 'git' all the time when Im kicking their arses at Counter Strike
Hope this helps.

You guys should invest in an Oxford dictionary.
arse n. (vulg) buttock, rump
knock v. strike with audible sharp blow
git n. (sl. derog.) worthless person
The Brits use the same language we do; they just use different parts of it. The English language contains lots of words but I think the average vocab is only 75 of them.
