In the Grand Turismo 4, I have honestly tried mission 23 (slipstream with the Skylines) 50 times and the closest I've gotten to beating the first car was 1.3 seconds behind.

For all the masters out there who have beaten the mission, any tips or advice?

 

Use a slingshot method. Slipstream and shoot by the pack, and then make sure you stay on the line so they can slipstream you. You have to leap-frog back and forth probably 4-5 times to be able to catch the lead car. Try to avoid zipping by the pack when going into a corner, they tend to fall too far back through the corner.

 

what you have to do is draft all the cars EXCEPT for the one in second place.

Then you have to start leapfrogging back and forth with him. Pass him, then get in front so HE can draft you and pass. It'll go back a forth a few times until the both of you will catch up to the first place guy onthe last lap, you have to time it perfect, draft him and you'll get enough to catch and pass 1st place.
