Default Question for "religious" people.

I was wondering what your thoughts are on this. My wife is Catholic, I am not. I go to Mass with her and feel really out of place. The biggest problem I have is the kneeling. I don't kneel, because I don't think it would be right for me to do so since I am not Catholic. Anyone else have a difference in religion with there spouse, I would love to hear from you. Thanks

My wife goes to church every week. She is in the choir. On special occasions like Christmas, I will accompany her to church. I am NOT religious in any way, shape or form. When in Rome, I try to do what they do but within my comfort zone. I will NOT sing their religious songs. I will NOT pray. She knew I was like this when we met. We get along fine.

Just be clear, that you are doing this for her, not for the religion. After that, no one can expect anymore from you

I don't mind going, I am a religious person myself, just not Catholic. I guess I am making a bigger deal out of it than it really is. Thanks for the comments

Any faith is good. remember the only one that has a right to judge you is god, the rest of them can take a hike.

I think kneeling for a non-Catholic in a Catholic mass is fine. The act of kneeling doesn't signify any loyalty or submission to God in any way.

It's just a physical act, not a religous one.

I think kneeling would just be a sign of respect and has nothing to do with your beliefs at all. It's kind of like taking your shoes off when going into a person's house in certain cultures. I don't not do it just because I'm a westerner.

I avoid churches whenever possible.

I just don't believe in organized religion.

My girlfriend is Catholic, but I am not. Out of respect for her and her family, I kneel. Just like someone else said, it's a physical act, not a religious one.
