All of the religions are hipocritical. My wifes parents are Hindu, and I respected their religion and did an indian Hindu wedding as well as a non-denominational wedding. If you are secure with yourself it should not be an issue, as for praying and talking, that is another question.

I have gone to churches before and been kicked out, because I was debating them. It was Pentacostle for the record. I liked going there, it is a good educational experiance. I would love to be able to attend all forms of churches, it gives a good sociological assesment.

I apologize, I do mean that the people that say they are a specific religion are hypocrites. But every single person that I have met are hypocrites. I can honestly say that my morals, and lifestyle are more controlled than the "religious people" I did not have sex before marriage, I do not drink, I do not smoke, and do not do any drugs, and yet somehow, all of the religious people that I have met say they are "morally superior to me"? Not just based on christianity, but all religions follow the same traits. I know plenty of muslim people, who eat pork, I know hindu people who eat beef, I know sikhs who cut their beards, I know mormans who drink caffine.

The one last thing that I must say also, and in this case the "religion" is hypocritical, is that almost all of the major religions, have "adjusted" their values based on what is politically correct at that time, just look at the gay preists. Look at how the hindu religion is now okay with eating meat, look at how catholics are not beleiving in excorsism< unsure of spelling. I respect all of the religions, I just was force fed by all people around me that they were morally superior to me because they beleived in a religion, and yet, I follow more rules of their religion, than they do.

Ah. What we won't do for our women! Go and enjoy. Many and most Churches are great places. Spiritual places. It's usually the people that mess it up. I want to go to and know every Church and Religion. I still won't know the truth but..... It is all so very interesting. Think of it as an adventure into an unknown culture. It's all about the journey.

That is why I call it hypocritical, we are force fed morals, and now, they back off there own. Who can take them seriously. George Carlin called it best, if you worship anything, why not worship the sun, it gives you warmth, light, food, it is there every day, it gives life, and causes every weather pattern known to man. AND YOU CAN SEE IT.

I'd rather go with the one that made the thing that provides us with those needs, rather than the created object that does what it was built to do. To me, worshipping the sun would be worshipping the machine, not the maker. The machine is subject to the maker.

But....to each his own. In my mind, for every fake thing there is also a real thing. Why miss the real thing on the basis of being turned off by the fake? If the fake is so repulsive, shouldn't the real thing be that much more attractive?
