Default question for small business owners

so I have a small biz and pay $100/month to a company to do payroll for me. I have been busy building up my biz so I don't mind paying someone to do it. The other day I was at office max to buy some supplies and ran across this payroll software. Does anyone have any experience with this or what software do you guys use?
thanks.

quickbooks is simple. payroll itself is simple if you are a bean counter.....but you have to file 941's qtrly, 940 $ Quarterly, State returns monthly or Qtrly, Local returns Qtrly, State Unemployment Quarterly......

it is truly a pain in the ass to explain to somehow how gross payroll, less FICA (SS and Medicare), federal, State, State Unemp, Local, FUta, any garnishments = $net payroll.

then to try to explain when to file the payroll taxes with the bank is a pain too... frequency depends on the size of the payroll.... so it may be monthly, quarterly, etc.....

$100 a month is probably the easier way to go......

I would be more than happy to try to walk you through it if you are interested.... (for a small fee.... )

I use Quickbooks, it's the most comprehensive software I have found. You can usually get a deal on the software if you buy it at Costco. You do have to pay extra to enable the functionality of generating tax-accurate paychecks.

Ya, i think quickbooks is only about $100 after rebates at Costco isn't it? Probably $50 a year to update the tax tables?

hmmm... I figure the software will explain how/where/how much/etc the various taxes will be.
I will probably buy the software and test it against the company's number before doing it myself.
thanks everyone for helping.
