Default Questions about airline travel

I havent been on a plane in years. Since ABC liquor is state-run up here in NC and availability is limited, I figured I'd find a nice bourbon or two when I travel back to GA next week. My question is: Will I have to check my bag to get the bottle(s) back to NC and will I have any difficulty doing so?

if you're putting liquid in a bag you will have to check it (above 3 oz)

No one is going to bother you about a liquor bottle in your checked bag, but technically you're not supposed to be doing that.

Just make sure you wrap the bottle well. It sucks to find your clothes drenched in expensive liquor at the baggage pickup!

Also, fwiw, the ABC distributor might be able to get you a bottle of something if you ask at the store. Could save you some trouble.

Ditto on wrapping the bottles well in your checked luggage.

Friends of mine had a bottle of Glenlivet break in their luggage on the way home from a carribean vacation.

Their clothes were ok after they washed them but they couldn't get the smell out of their suitcase. They had to junk it and buy a new one.

i put bottles in my luggage before. just make sure to wrap it up nicely so it won't break. it really doesn't matter how big or how many airlines only care about the weight of your bag.
