King of shaves do a shaving gel that slow's the hair growth, so you shave less often.

Shave in shower. Use a nice brush to lather on foam. Sharp razor. Go to the Art of Shaving for some good stuff. Also, NEVER shave against the grain...that is a sure fire way of getting ingrowns.

Oh and you might want to look into Aramis "Lift Off". It's great after shave that conditions your facial hair for easier shaves.

Try hair conditioner instead of shaving cream. Also, don't shave withing 30 minutes of waking up.

shit i have to shave as soon as i wake up. if i wait for awhile i get bumps like mother****er. no clue why. but today i waited 2+ hours before i shaved and no bumps today. weird. and electric shaver sucks ass. nothing is smooth like mach 3.

I exfoliate my face in the shower, then shave *with* the grain. The shave won't be as smooth as when shaving against, but my chin and neck are better off. Using a fresh blade every time also helps if your skin is bacteria sensitive.

Thanks for the replies--I'm white btw. Like I said I dont get it that bad and it goes in spurts. I just started shaving in the shower, so I'll give it a week and see what happens. Thanks for the info...
