IT Questions help.....
1) Is the TCP checksum necessary or could TCP allow IP to checksum the data?
2) Could TCP be used directly over a network (e.g. an ethernet) without using IP? Why or why not?
3) Does it make sense for two domain servers to contain exactly the same set of names? why or why not?
I would appreciate it if you could help me with these problems.
thanks

Need help with your homework again?
Haven't done this stuff in awhile, so I could be wrong...
1) No, IP does checksums, but only on the header.
2) No, TCP only talks to ports (via a transport), not addresses.
3) Yes, failover, redundancy, and load-balancing.
