Default Quicken Lawyer Wills

Has anyone used this software? I need to make a basic will & want to avoid a $800 fee from a lawyer. I'm guessing they work for a basic will and guardianship issues.

comments?

Haven't tried it but my guess is it is similiar to most things - - - you get what you pay for.

I used turbo tax for a number of years, but when things got complicated due to investing gains/losses and real estate, I went to a CPA.

If you have no real assets, use the Quicken. However, if you have substantial assets or want to protect your heirs, I would go to a lawyer.

Don't forget to do durable financial powers of attorney and health care powers.

I wouldn't advise anyone to use the Quicken kit, however, in the spirit of full disclosure, I'm a lawyer.
