I did a similar thing the other day, except I had my wallet in my pocket...... I walked down the road and got a taxi to the pub where I knew I would meet people I know

 

Good move, james. I had only a damn rock.

 

I am not sure that either the taxi driver or the barman would have accepted that instead of money........ might have been worth a try though

 

It was a pretty nice rock.

 

I think the language barrier may still have got in the way....

When I wave cash at a taxi driver he seems to understand my Japanese perfectly, not sure that waving a rock at him, however nice that rock is, would have the same translation effect

We were just in Puerto Vallarta. My Spanish is so-so. However, whenever it comes to spending money -- drinks, dinner, taxis, clothes, etc., it becomes flawless. Directions, on the other hand.....

 

ouch sorry to hear that happend to ya...

 

You should've just kicked it in your back yard and played with your dogs. Sorry to hear about all the problems though.
