Rattle in Canon s400 digital camera
I bought a Canon s400 recently and I just noticed that there is a slight rattle coming from the inside, kind of like something is loose. Since this is my first digital camera im not sure what to expect and I dont know if this sound is normal or not. I dont remember if the rattle has always been there
I DID drop it on the ground from about 2 and a half feet a few days ago but it was inside a camera case and everything still works fine. Can anyone else with the same camera give me some feedback? Thanks.

They wont repair it under warranty if they determine its been dropped. If the purchase is very recent take it back and claim it never worked right. Other wise you may have to pay for the repair.
As silly and paranoid as it may sound, I drove down to Best Buy and shook all their cameras to see if they had the same rattle noise. The s400 they had on display and some of the other canon digital cameras had the same noise so hopefully its normal. Hopefully someone else with an s400 can chime in and tell me im just being anal.
i just checked my S50 and it rattles too... but I can barely hear it, i think its something in the LCD screen
I never rattled my camera before so i just realized this cuz u posted that lol

oh man, never noticed it either till I decided to try it. haha. I have the s400 and it rattles as well. I think the sound is coming near the lense. cant quite pinpoint it but it may be the cover.
