Default rattle in dash

my 2001 s2000 makes a vibration sounding noise that seems like it is coming from the top of dash board behind the gauges. It only does this over certain types of bumps but can be very annoying. Of course my dealer said they couldn't hear it and another dealer said that the cure could be worse than the noise. since taking apart the dash to find this could create more rattles. Is anyone else out there experiencing anything like this?

I found that my visors would vibrate against the top of the windshield frame when going over harsh bumps. It took me a long time to figure out what the heck it was and it really only did it when the top was down. I don't know if this will help but but I figured it was worth a shot.

I took mine back to the dealer (willis honda in burlington NJ) and they fixed 3 rattles.

1) loose harness in dash, they said the secured a loose harness. (only rattled at low speed sharp bumps, like 2 inch uneven pavement)
2) tightened the right side sun visor
3) replace rear ty-downs for soft top (to be done next week)

What i did was found a road in the vicinity of the dealer where the car rattled and then told them to drive down that road. They did and found the rattles.

Thanks guys. After reading your posts I did some investigating on my own and found that the rattles were not in fact coming from the dash but from the sun visors. Strange, but it sounded like the noise was coming from the dash. Some felt protectors cured the problem.
