Undeniably, Jeff does come across as somewhat of a git, but in all likelihood he's just another schnook who believe's that he alone is right and anyone who does not agree with him is in the wrong or too dull-witted to get the point. This argument is wasted upon him and us, as no-one is going to concede to the other. Maybe he is a flamer who is just trying to kick it off or maybe he honestly has had problems as he stated. To continue arguing is moot. I will say this though, to matrix and chroot , your posts impressed me enough to want to buy the both of you a jar or two and a beer for anyone else who is also a "moron".

Yep.

Jeff

So, if I cannot afford an expensive car built for speed/handling and I have to settle for a Taurus, you and I are on the same street doing exactly the same speed and we are both speeding...I deserve the ticket more than you because I drive a Taurus. This is what you think is justice?

Yes, I addressed that in a previous post. My apologies.

Jeff

Your poll is flawed in that it offers no answer that disagrees with your premise without being considered a moron.

We all agree that the situation described here is wrong. However, it honestly doesn't happen often, and it doesn't mean that we should have no speed limits.

Please tell me where in any of my previous posts/replies I stated we should have 'no speed limits'. I do not appreciate you putting words in my mouth to try and make your point. I did not do that to you. I'm sorry if you feel your argument will only be valid if you misconstrue the facts regarding what I have said. Make a decent argument and you won't have to resort to such things.

Well, it happened to me... and I didn't find it funny or take it lightheartedly. In fact, I called the local Virginia State Police Department when I got home, it was a Sunday afternoon. You know what I got?... a recording telling me to call back during "Normal BUSINESS Hours". Since when is 'protecting & serving' a BUSINESS?? If they think that doing something like that isn't going to affect my impression of them, they need to grow some friggin' brains.

That area has more accidents per capita than any other in the country. "If you can't take the heat, get out of the kitchen" is simply not an acceptable attitude for a driver on public roads.

Actually, it is. I think it is far too easy to get a driver's license in this country and people that can't handle the fact that they need to be aware of who is around them, how they are driving, and how THEIR driving might be affecting the overall flow of traffic need to lose their license. Driving on the road with numerous other cars is a dynamic thing, and it requires dynamic thought, reaction and attention. Again.. NOT a black & white situation.

As for the NY/NJ/CT area? Sure it has alot of accidents... it also has one of the highest populations in the country! Math, again.... Put me in a highway/urban situation and I will choose to be surrounded by drivers from that area than any other area in a heartbeat. They are aware of their surrounds and they are not driving 'in a vacuum' - as do many of the '"slow = good" drivers you favor.

Jeffrplant,

Wow, you suck dude. You really need to grow some hair on your testes so you can stop pretending to be a bad-ass to people like me, who have long since achieved the official bad-ass status.

LOL

Bottom line... be somewhat open-minded and take a look at the organization I am plugging here. They have alot of FREE information on their site, maybe what they have to say can shed some light on what I have to say and vice versa. Only join if you feel what they do is for a good cause. Otherwise feel free to peruse the sight and consider some of the very valid points they make.

www.motorists.org

With that, I am done with this argument. I feel I have made my point to many.. to those that are opposed (and to all) - I wish you good luck on the roads. I do not wish speeding tickets on anyone... We may differ in our opinions, but the real enemy are those generating revenue at the expense of many undeserving people.

Farewell.

Jeff

Moderators: we have a newbie here, threateningly advocating dangerous driving, insulting people, and plugging a goddamn website. Any chance we could lock this one? Many thanks.

More of the same... keep on putting words in my mouth. That's it, run to the moderator cause you can't get me to agree with you. Glad I didn't stoop that low. You should be proud of yourself, tough guy.

And posting a web-site that advocates driver's rights on a car-enthusiast forum... what was I thinking!!??
