word on the street is that big government is causing lots of college grads to be journeying to washington dc...
Growth sectors - renewables will have to grow despite opposition from various parties. Security will grow and the middle class dissapears and we have a lot more poor/rich separation and crime rises making the rich scared. If you know how to make bullet proof limos you will make a killing.

We've had big government since the 80s. Those arguments are furfies now, both sides of politics have huge governments and spend a lot.

So the reports are saying that the greatest recession since the Great Depression is at or near it's end. So my question is, what do you think will be the growth industries when this recession is behind us?
The 'recovery' is artificial. Print & pump that many dollars into the economy and it's got to make a difference, however, the difference it made was artificial. Watch for the next recession in 2011, and it's not going to be pretty.
I'm not a conspiracy theorist, but I can't help but think Obama is setting us up for failure. Not trying to start an argument - time will tell, and prove me right or prove me wrong. I sure hope I'm wrong.
Sorry to go off topic - next industry - that's difficult to predict, but when we do recover, I'll say nano tech.
